In 2011, we were the only window and door company to win the Energy Star® Manufacturer of the Year award for our outstanding efforts in promoting energy efficient products.

 

We support worthy causes

We are the National Presenting Sponsor for The Salvation Army's Santa Shuffle to raise funds for The Salvation Army and its many programs that help children, teens, and families in poverty. Since our first year as sponsor in 2010, we've raised over $225,000.

 

In 2011, employees could spend one work day volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, contributing to the goal of providing affordable housing for Canadian families. And we support many other charitable organizations in the communities we live in.

 

We value safety

AWW has been recognized by the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta for having a lower rate of accidents than the industry norm. This is due to our commitment to safety.

 

Our Head Office and Edmonton plant has an occupational health and safety nurse on site and all other work locations have trained first aiders.

 

We support wellness

We offer employee wellness initiatives including training on back care, stress management, nutrition, fitness and other topics.

Our development

All of our employees receive development opportunities. Most of our production supervisors were promoted from within and ALL of our professional employees have individual development plans to help them reach their career goals. In 2011, AWW launched its Business Leadership Program aimed at developing its next generation of leaders. Each year, new participants will be selected to join. It could be you!
